Dear Wasis,

1. The Five Elements Concept is all about balance. This is where many of us do not take advantage of it properly.

2. Cannot be blamed as many of us can only understand two combinations or two elements.

3. For example, in this case where there is a wood threat i.e. a lamp post. (Because, it is tall and thin is represented as a wood element).

4. Under the destructive cycle of Five Elements concept, yes, it is true that Metal (fishes) is used to destroy Wood threat.

5. Once this is done, wood remains weak.

To ACHIEVE A BALANCE, a third element is used here (under the productive cycle):-

where METAL -> WATER -> WOOD forms a combination flow in the productive cycle.

6. Do take note that once metal destroys wood, it is weaken. And a three cycle flow, helps to best balance this flow.

7. Secondly, water is often used because it is considered as a Ming Tang or bright Hall effect.

Alternatively, wood element threat can be neutralised with fire and earth element.

Perhaps, you can ponder over these statements and hopefully see the light:-

Element with best balances

Fire with Earth and Metal or
Fire with Wood and Water

Metal with Water and Wood or
Metal with Earth and Fire
